Montenegro, at 14.000 square km nevertheless a small country, hides wonderful geographical diversity and boasts of four national parks and 293 kilometres of coastline, out of which more than 70 km are beaches.

Among national parks the oldest and the most known is the breathtaking Durmitor. Its imposing mountaintops and numerous lakes are accompanied by the Tara River Canyon, is in size second only to Grand Canyon and is among the most beautiful canyons in the world. Montenegro is one of the last oases of the Old continent where one can still hide from the hasty rhythm of the civilization.
