As a small and picturesque country, Slovenia makes a great
tourist destination. Mountains, lakes, waterfalls, forests,
caves, hills, plains, rivers and the sea - you name it, you
can find it all within a modest 20.273 square km (half the size
of Switzerland), as well as many natural and landscape parks.
You can ski in the morning and surrender yourself to the luxury
of the Adriatic Sea in the afternoon.
Slovenia can justly claim to be one of the world's greenest
countries with half of its land surface covered with forests.
Slovenia is a full member of European Union since 2004. Ljubljana, it's capital, is well connected with major European airports, which makes Slovenia a very appealing new destination for travelers.
